  • Accidentally using the letter “C” rather than a “S” when ordering socks makes for an awkward email

Things we have learned since 2015:

  • The usage of double adapters on a power board, attached via 2 extension cords is totes safe
  • Proof read all artwork before sending to print so you don't end up with 5,000 copies of things with a spelling mistake
  • There are A LOT of adults with no manners #please #thankyou
  • It is ok to say no, to back yourself & most importantly trust your gut!
  • 9 years later of buying and selling stock….men are still the hardest people to buy for
  • You will Eat, Sleep & Breathe your business - 24/7

 

Now & Then ~ Only days from
opening in 2015 vs 2024

 

 

 

  • Never underestimate the awesomeness of windex, correction tape, hard coffees and baby wipes (not all used in conjunction)
  • Accidentally using the letter “C” rather than a “S” when ordering socks makes for an awkward email
  • You will make mistakes, there will be tough days and you will not sleep very much. And this is ok! Not all days are like that
  • If it was in fashion, used to be in fashion…it will eventually be back in fashion
  • Asking a customer to "Slap or Insert" is not the appropriate directional usage for processing an EFTPOS transaction

    But the most important lesson?

    Follow your heart, jump! And it's totes is ok to go into business with someone you just met & barely know - apart from you becoming joined at the hip, sharing half a brain combined with A LOT of dark humour, what could go wrong?
