You know when you finish a really good book & then feel like you don’t know what to do with your life now its over?
Yep. That.
Now you all know by now that I love books – you can tell by the amount of times we get book deliveries in the shop *insert innocent look here*
I cannot help it… the feel of new books, the smell, the excitement as to what the pages hold…. It’s just too much. I think I should’ve been a librarian.
I was absolutely blown away by all the comments on our post the other night when I shared my love of the book I had just finished reading “Where the Crawdads Sing” by Delila Owens.
I was left with that beautiful melancholy feeling of “*sigh* now what?”
You know when you finish a really good book & then feel like you don’t know what to do with your life now its over?
Yep. That.
Where the Crawdads Sing moved me beyond anything I imagined from a book & I called it…. One of the BEST books I have read in my life.
And I’ve read a few.
I was so pleased there were so many of you who shared my affection of the book & then you all shared what books have had the same effect on you!
I was going through them last night & adding them to a list for me to refer back to when I need something of substance to read. And I thought I might pop them up here in a blog for you all to refer to also.
So here you will find an amazing list of books in an array of genre… Ill pop a little star by the names that I have read & recommend & those that were recommended more than once on the post…. Maybe pop them to the top of your reading pile.
There’s also a few of these books that we stock – you can check them out here…. And something else you fellow book worms may love…
The Demeter Fragrance called “Paper Back” guess what it smells like?
Yes Ma’am – it smells like the warm comforting feeling of the pages of a book.
A must for every bibliophile.
Enjoy lovelies, and if you have any recommendations that simply MUST be added to the list – let me know.
With love from a cosy reading spot,
